Beacon positioning system used in robotic 3D imaging system
Developed in partnership with GE Healthcare, the Discovery IGS 730 is a robotic 3D imaging system for minimally invasive surgery. It features an autonomous omnidirectional mobile base which took less than two years to bring to market. The machine enables the acquisition of images during cardiovascular and oncological surgeries.
For surgical teams it provides increased accuracy, flexibility and comfort, whilst for the patient it means shorter procedures and lower dose injections.
“The main reason we have chosen Discovery IGS 730 is its positioning accuracy… It is very user-friendly, very easy to control and we have never had any issue in positioning the machine. It is a very flexible system which we adapt to each case and each patient’s pathology.”
