Matthews International Corporation confirms the successful completion of the purchase of Guidance Automation Ltd

In early 2017 Guidance Automation was acquired by Matthews International Corporation of Pittsburgh, USA.

Matthews had sales of $1.42 billion (£1.13 billion) in 2015 and, among other things, is a specialist in logistics automation.

Since December 2014 Guidance Automation has been an independent company from Guidance Marine. Operating out of its own premises in Leicester, Guidance Automation serves its international clients with navigation products and services for self-guided autonomous, land-based vehicles.

With a successful track-record of more than 20 years in this field, Guidance Automation is looking forward to extending its market reach in indoor logistics and warehousing applications.
